Top Six Tinted Sunscreen Product
One skin care product na nagbo-boom ngayon sa Pilipinas are tinted sunscreens. Two in one na may sun protection na nakaka-fresh pa. Pero sa dinami-daming mga tinted sunscreens natin in the market, parang ang hirap ng pumili. So ako na ang nag-test para sa inyo. I tested the top six(6) in Watsons.
In this article, we will be comparing them in different aspects to help you decide which could be the best option for you. So when it comes to tinted sunscreens, maraming iba’t ibang mga factors ang kailangan nating i-consider when it comes to comparing them. So we will be testing and comparing them in five different aspects. We have texture and blendability, coverage and white cast potential, tone adapt factor, skin finish and hulas factor. And also finally the price per ML.
And for our six(6) sunscreens na ico-compare natin, I decided to get some of the most accessible tinted sunscreens na lahat ito guys available sila sa Watsons. Hindi ito sponsored by Watsons or anything. It’s just that ito talaga iyung pinakamadaling hanapin talaga ng mga tinted sunscreens. So first of course, we have the Bello tinted sunscreen na matagal na matagal ng nasa market. probably the OG tinted sunscreen in the Philippines, but also we have some tinted sunscreens that were released in 2023.
So first we have the Lux Organix High Protection Perfecting UV tint, Hello Glow niacinamide tinted sunscreen and also Kojie.Sans tinted sunscreen. But we also have some recent releases like the Fresh Skinlab Collagen matifying tinted sunscreen released in late 2024 and also Dr. Sensitives tinted Sunscreen also released in early 2025. So as you guys might have noticed, ang criteria natin dito is first and foremost dahil tinted sunscreen sila is that they are high protection sunscreens first.
Meaning unang-una, ang minimum natin dito is at least SPF 50 PA3 plus. Walang bababa pa doon. And like I said a while ago for this article, I wanted to focus on those na available sa Watsons. But anyway, start na tayo sa first category which I tested these tinted sunscreens for, which is texture and blendability.
But first, let’s start with the one na medyo na-single out talaga siya compared to the other sunscreens in this list. As in when it comes to iyung pagka-lightweight, this is probably the least lightweight for me or parang siya iyung last place sa mga products na to.
1. Hello Glow Nicinamide tinted sunscreen.
It’s sadly the Hello Glow Nicinamide tinted sunscreen. Now, while it is a hydrating cream formula, konti na lang kasi medyo parang foundation na yung consistency niya.
And while lightweight naman siya compared to other foundation products, kapag kinompare mo siya with the other tinted sunscreen sa listahan natin, medyo mas lightweight and easier to blend pa rin talaga iyung ibang mga options natin sa list.
Siguro iyung blendability na lang niya I guess compared to other foundation products, this is a bit easier to work in onto the skin pero medyo malayo pa rin talaga compared to the other products sa list na to.
2. Lux Organix Perfecting UV Tint.
The following that is the Lux Organix Perfecting UV tint. And I know magkasunod sila ni Hello Glow pero medyo malayo iyung agwat nila because this is a much lighter and more fluid na consistency. Almost like a tinted sun milk na siya.
Now, at first medyo mukha siyang liquid foundation but when you spread it onto the skin, that’s when you will notice na mas lightweight and comfortable talaga siya compared to other foundation products or other base makeup products.
And meron pa siyang parang light hydrating feel on the skin. Definitely not the most lightweight sa list na to, but I would say na in general hindi naman siya mabigat and sa skin tone ko it blends relatively easily. Plus points din because this is fragrance free.
And sinama ko to dito sa section na to because when you blend it onto your skin, doon mo maaamoy iyung fragrance ‘di ba? And ito wala siya.
3. Bello Sun Expert Tinted Sunscreen.
Next up is the Bello Sun Expert tinted sunscreen which is actually a light cream. Pero in fairness, kay Bellos expert hindi ko alam kung nag-reformulate sila ng konti pero kahit cream siya, mas siyang nagse-set sa skin.
Kasi from a cream, ang bilis niyang i-spread onto an almost silky feel na medyo glowy at first pero nagiging soft matte din in a few seconds.
4. Dr. Sensitive Tinted Subscreen.
Now, right after we have the Doctor Sensitive Tinted Sunscreens which are actually a really nice cream fluid to water consistency. As in kapag dispense mo dito may parang pagka-cream gel siya.
But as soon as you spread it onto the skin, as in konting spread niyo lang guys, parang nagiging watery finish or watery feel na agad siya. And I have to say medyo presko talaga iyung feeling niya sa skin.
Of course dahil medyo watery, there’s that hydrating feeling, but it also very easily blends and sets onto the skin. Of course, at first it feels very hydrating onto the skin and kailangan talaga i-work mo siya ng konti.
Pero I would say parang presko iyung pag-blend in mo, iyung feeling overall. And also I want to give this additional plus points because fragrance free din ito.
Kung Ito si Dr. Sensitive parang cream gel to water consistency siya. Ang masasabi kong next option natin is medyo mas na-master niya iyung transition to a watery product.
5. Fresh SkinLab with Tinted Sunscreen.
And that’s fresh skin lab with tinted sunscreen. Kasi ito talaga parang mas cream to powdery water siya which oily skin types I really feel will like. As in cream ‘to paglabas talaga pero pag spread mo onto the skin, it almost instantly turns into this parang watery feel na hindi overly hydrating.
And then kapag spin mo pa siya more and more, ang bilis talagang mag-blend onto a feeling na parang powdery siya. So you really know na magse-set siya ng matte. And ako personally, I really like that. Parang medyo comfortable yung feel niya talaga sa akin.
And coming in at the top position, very surprising sa akin to. But I think the lightest in this list is actually the Kojie san tinted sunscreen.
6. Kojie.San Tinted Sunscreen.
This one is actually more of an airy moose consistency already. Yes, it looks like a cream at first pero unang spread mo pa lang sa kanya, mafi-feel mo na agad ‘yung parang air light feeling niya na parang mawawala na agad yung bigat niya sa skin mo. I would say for those na alam yung frzy derm na tinted sunscreen, medyo naaalala ko yung ganun sa kanya.
But despite being the lightest, I do have to say though itong Kojie.San may pagka-old school sunscreen iyung fragrance niya out of all of them. But for me, hindi naman siya deal breaker. It’s just something na medyo napansin ko talaga sa sunscreen na to.
So overall, ito yung ranking ko when it comes to texture and blendability. But my personal pick kahit na yung lightest is Kojan, I really like ‘yung kay Fresh kasi talaga ang ganda ng feeling sa skin nung parang cream to powder water. And while technically pinaka-lightweight talaga ong si Kojie.San, I do have to say medyo close fight siya.
My Personal Tip:
Remember lang guys for these sunscreens the higher the coverage usually the higher din the white cast potential. So just my advice kung meron kang dark spots unless pa-fade na talaga siya or mawawala na siya maybe just buy a good concealer. Like for example ako nag-spread sunscreen lang ako ngayon and then nagpatong ako ng concealer which is the Get Ready With Me Radiant Tint.
- For those curious their light peach na shade. Now like I mentioned to you fellas, isang malaking factor talaga when it comes to coverage or anything related to skin tone is yyung tone adapt talaga na factor. And hilig kasi talaga ilagay ng mga brands yung tone adapt technology sa mga labels nila. And while after researching it, totoong technology naman siya in fairness.
- And yes, it can work for multiple skin tones, but it won’t work for all skin tones. Meaning yung tone adapt technology na to hindi siya universal sa lahat ng mga skin tones or skin colors. And actually ang sal reality talaga is kapag nasa fair to light or light to medium ka na skin tone, medyo mas marami talagang mga tinted sunscreens that will work okay for you.
- Pero kung nasa very light iyong skin tone mo, may iba na magmumukhang masyadong orange siya of course or if medyo deeper naman yung skin tone mo, yun yung medyo magmumukha siya talagang medyo grayish or ashy. So ang usual solution for that is kailangan mo talaga siyang patungan ng other base products with darker or deeper shades. Which is why it’s very important na kahit merong tone adapt technology ang isang tinted sunscreen ng isang brand, dapat mag-release pa rin talaga sila ng multiple shades because iyung skin tone naman natin, it’s a spectrum.
- Now, for those sa medyo konyo-konyo diyan, hindi alam kung ano ibig sabihin ng hulas factor, basically the longevity of the product or yung longwear na efficiency ng product. Now, on my last place sa list na ‘to and very commonly known kasi talaga siya for being not so good sa paghuhula sa skin, it’s the bell tinted sunscreen. Now, in my years of experience wearing this sunscreen, kasi ‘ ba dati wala talaga tayong option kung hindi bellow tinted sunscreen. Ito talaga ‘yung parang at first very prone siya to caking or looking a bit too like powdery on the skin.
- Don’t start as matte at first. And actually towards the end of the day, medyo okay pa rin naman siya. Obviously you will notice, especially kung you are oily, parang umaangat iyung product sa skin mo and it starts to look a bit patchy throughout the day. Maybe if normal iyung skin type mo, wala kang masyadong mapapansin. But if you’re oily like me or even oily na may konting dry patches, which is what I’m experiencing right now, makikita mo talaga iyung patchiness niya throughout the day. Now, for the rest of our options though, in fairness, I would say na effective sila in their ways.
